Conscious Pilates

What is Conscious Pilates?

It is a group class with a deeply therapeutic approach. It is designed for you if you experience joint or muscular pain, postural changes, stiffness or loss of mobility, or if you simply need to reconnect with your body in a kind and safe way, especially if you feel distance, discomfort, or aversion towards it.

We work with adapted Pilates exercises, conscious breathing, and movement control to create a respectful space that allows you to develop your bodily listening, improve your functionality, and build a safer and more conscious relationship with your own body.

What do we work on in the sessions?

Our sessions are aimed at helping you to:

  • Reduce pain and muscle tension.
  • Improve your joint mobility and functionality.
  • Correct and re-educate your posture.
  • Prevent recurrent injuries and discomfort.
  • Recover confidence and body security.
  • Reconnect with your body from a kind approach, without demands or judgments.
  • Decrease stress and excessive activation.
  • Promote your emotional regulation and mental calm.
  • Improve your attention, presence, and body awareness.

Who is it for?

It is the ideal class if you need to return to movement after a period of pain, inactivity, or physical discomfort. It is also designed for you if you are looking for a therapeutic space that integrates body and mind, helping you reduce anxiety, improve your emotional well-being, and strengthen your sense of control and autonomy.

We want you to know that it is not a high-impact class, but a safe space where movement adapts to you. Our priority is your care, your safety, your autonomy, and your physical and mental well-being.

How do we work in Conscious Pilates?

We conceive Conscious Pilates as a body treatment in semi-open therapeutic groups, focused on those seeking a safe and kind reconnection with their body, integrating physical care and mental well-being.

For your safety and to offer you a personalized approach, before joining the group, we carry out an initial individual clinical assessment with our physiotherapist. This allows us to know your overall state, your needs, and your possible limitations, ensuring that the exercises adapt perfectly to you within the group work.

Our groups are semi-open, which facilitates a progressive incorporation, always maintaining therapeutic continuity and cohesion. Additionally, we perform a monthly individual follow-up to assess your progress and improvements in relation to pain, mobility, posture, and your general well-being, adjusting the therapeutic objectives to your evolution.

Dance Movement Therapy (DMT)

What is Dance Movement Therapy (DMT)?

Following the definition of the Spanish Dance Movement Therapy Association, DMT is the psychotherapeutic use of movement in a process that seeks your psychophysical integration (body-mind). It is based on the art of dance and movement as a means to help you address emotional or psychological conflicts.

Who is it for?

DMT is for you if you find it hard to put your feelings into words or if you feel that talking is not always enough, as the body becomes your most honest and direct channel of expression. You do not need to have any previous dance experience to participate.

It is very beneficial if you live with stress, anxiety, or body disconnection (when your mind is racing and your body feels rigid or tense). Also, if you are going through processes of grief, life crises, or identity changes where the body needs a space to process and not just to understand.

Furthermore, it is an excellent complement if you are already in therapy, as movement helps to unlock emotional content that you can later elaborate on with words. If you are a creative person—or wish to reconnect with that dimension—we invite you to explore, play, and symbolize through your body.

How do we work in DMT?

Our Dance Movement Therapy is a body treatment in semi-open therapeutic groups, designed for you who seek mind-body integration and non-verbal expression.

Before joining the group, we carry out an initial individual clinical assessment with a therapist. This allows us to explore your specific goals and needs for the group work. As they are semi-open groups, you will be able to join progressively, and thus we maintain therapeutic continuity and group cohesion.
