What is Therapeutic Yoga?

Therapeutic Yoga is much more than just a physical practice; it is a dedicated space for health and care, designed for those who need a practice adapted to their current reality. If pain, stiffness, or stress have made you feel disconnected from your own body, this class is designed to guide you back home.

Through adapted postures (asanas), conscious breathing (pranayama), and mindfulness, we create a safe and respectful environment where movement becomes medicine.

What do we focus on in our sessions?

Our approach does not seek the aesthetic perfection of the poses, but rather functionality and emotional well-being. In every session, we help you to:

  • Relieve pain: Reduce accumulated tension and muscular or joint discomfort.

  • Gain mobility: Progressively recover your freedom of movement and flexibility.

  • Postural re-education: Improve your body’s alignment to prevent future injuries.

  • Emotional regulation: Decrease stress and anxiety by soothing the nervous system.

  • Body security: Reconcile with your body through kindness, moving away from judgment and self-demand.

  • Mindful presence: Cultivate mental stillness and conscious awareness in the here and now.

Who is it for?

It is the ideal choice for those looking to return to movement after an injury or a period of inactivity, as well as for those living with chronic conditions. It is also a sanctuary for anyone who needs to slow down and strengthen their physical and emotional autonomy in a low-impact environment.

Reconnect and Restore Your Body’s Balance

How do we work?

Aquí tienes la traducción de la segunda parte, manteniendo el enfoque profesional y clínico que mencionas:

How we work: A clinical and human-centered approach

We conceive Therapeutic Yoga as a comprehensive body treatment carried out in small groups. We don’t just drop you into a class; we accompany you through a process of continuous improvement.

1. Individual Clinical Assessment

Before you begin, you will undergo an initial assessment with our physiotherapist/yoga teacher. We want to understand your history, your limitations, and your goals. This allows us to adapt every yoga pose to your specific needs, ensuring your total safety within the group.

2. Semi-open and Dynamic Groups

Our groups allow for a progressive integration. This makes it easier for you to feel comfortable from day one, maintaining group cohesion that fosters mutual support and treatment continuity.

3. Personalized Follow-up

We never lose sight of your progress. We conduct a monthly individual follow-up to evaluate your improvements in pain reduction, posture, and general well-being, adjusting the practice as you evolve.

Here, yoga adapts to you, rather than you to yoga. It is a space to listen to yourself, care for yourself, and reclaim control over your health.

Dance Movement Therapy (DMT)

What is Dance Movement Therapy (DMT)?

Following the definition of the Spanish Dance Movement Therapy Association, DMT is the psychotherapeutic use of movement in a process that seeks your psychophysical integration (body-mind). It is based on the art of dance and movement as a means to help you address emotional or psychological conflicts.

Who is it for?

DMT is for you if you find it hard to put your feelings into words or if you feel that talking is not always enough, as the body becomes your most honest and direct channel of expression. You do not need to have any previous dance experience to participate.

It is very beneficial if you live with stress, anxiety, or body disconnection (when your mind is racing and your body feels rigid or tense). Also, if you are going through processes of grief, life crises, or identity changes where the body needs a space to process and not just to understand.

Furthermore, it is an excellent complement if you are already in therapy, as movement helps to unlock emotional content that you can later elaborate on with words. If you are a creative person—or wish to reconnect with that dimension—we invite you to explore, play, and symbolize through your body.

How do we work in DMT?

Our Dance Movement Therapy is a body treatment in semi-open therapeutic groups, designed for you who seek mind-body integration and non-verbal expression.

Before joining the group, we carry out an initial individual clinical assessment with a therapist. This allows us to explore your specific goals and needs for the group work. As they are semi-open groups, you will be able to join progressively, and thus we maintain therapeutic continuity and group cohesion.
