Information relevant to my professional career

  • I earned my degree in Psychology from the University of Puerto Rico and graduated in 2018.
  • I have been a professional classical ballet dancer since 2012 and later became a professional contemporary dance performer starting in 2015.
  • In addition to being a dancer, I have worked as a dance teacher in various schools across Puerto Rico, giving classes in ballet, contemporary dance, and jazz to students of all ages.
  • I am member #01703 of the APDC (Association of Dance Professionals of Catalonia).
  • In 2025, I completed a Master’s degree in Dance Movement Therapy at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. During the course of the program, I carried out body-based psychotherapeutic processes with populations such as adults with intellectual disabilities, elderly individuals, and migrant women.
  • For my final master’s project, I designed Dance Movement Therapy interventions based on grounding techniques for survivors of Hurricane María in Puerto Rico. I was able to implement these interventions in different parts of the island with groups of various ages.
  • I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy at the Fundació Vidal i Barraquer (Ramon Llull University).

Irrelevant information about my personal life

  • I’m from Puerto Rico and have been living in Barcelona since 2021.
  • In addition to ballet and contemporary dance, I really enjoy dancing salsa, and for a time I practiced tango.
  • In my free time, I love reading historical or fiction novels. Lately, I’ve been seeking out more works by female authors.
  • My favorite music is from the 1960s. I’m a fan of The Beatles, Nina Simone, Cream, and Janis Joplin.
  • I’m a firm believer in the mind-body connection as a unified whole. This belief is the driving force behind my clinical work.
  • I speak English, Spanish, and I am currently learning Catalan.
