fisioterapeuta Laura Gil
  • I am a Physiotherapist, I studied my degree in A Coruña University in Galicia. I later specialized in sports with a Master’s Degree in Sports Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation for Physical Activity, completed in Barcelona.
  • I am a certified Pilates Instructor specializing in its application to Physical Therapy, trained at the Galician School of Physical Therapy. In my sessions, I focus on cultivating mindful awareness of movement and breath, one of the core foundations for physical and mental well-being.
  • To enhance my patients’ experience, I integrate a variety of techniques, including Postural Training (Posturology), Kinetic Control, Mindfulness, Meditation, and Therapeutic Breathing Techniques.
  • Additionally, I am a certified National Surfing Trainer (TD1), specializing in stand-up paddleboarding (SUP). As a sports physiotherapist, I work with national athletes, helping them optimize their performance and recovery.

  • I collaborate as a physiotherapist and volunteer trainer with SUPerando, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the well-being and social inclusion of individuals and groups in vulnerable situations through water sports in an inclusive environment.
  • I am also part of the Blue Soler pilot program, a groundbreaking initiative in Europe and the first medical study aimed at demonstrating the benefits of stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) in improving the physical and emotional well-being of individuals with various physical conditions, including disabling pathologies.
  • I collaborate with Proyecto ART as a physiotherapist.
  • I work in both Spanish, Catalan, Galician  and English.

Laura Gil Hermelo
  • I’m originally from Galicia and have been living in Barcelona since 2018. I have a passion for learning languages and am always eager to pick up another one.
  • As a teenager, I was an elite athlete, which sparked my lifelong connection to sports, both professionally and personally. I regularly practice paddleboarding and stand-up paddle (SUP) and enjoy mixing it up with climbing or cycling.
  • For me, the perfect getaway involves traveling to a beautiful natural destination in a van packed with surfboards and good company.
  • In my free time, I love getting involved in projects that promote health, inclusion, and sports. I’m especially passionate about bringing associations or vulnerable groups closer to the world of surfing, SUP, and inclusive sports.
  • I’m also a big fan of live music—whatever the genre!
